Curaçao last day.

Well, it's been an interesting week.
We didn't get off to the best start, sat on a plane on Sunday..got off a plane on Sunday..unfortunately in the same airport. Got on a plane on Monday and arrived in Curaçao. Our car rental with Ace car rentals was smooth and easy, recommended( they also go by the name of Boric ).
Our AirBnB was awesome, brand new and modern, the hosts Peter and Anneke just wonderful people. www.kasamigu.com you should stay here sometime.
Our meals were hit and miss, 2 were excellent, 2 were not good. The beaches were all nice, the turtle beach and the fun day with the pigs, will be remembered with fondness.
The city of Willemstad, is still one of the prettiest anywhere we have been in the Caribbean. And of course the weather, unbeatable. Apparently January and February are the rainy season, we had one shower around 6am, that lasted for a few minutes! The rest of the time it was 29 degrees.

I think I have seen most things here now. Someday I might return, but for now, there's  still a whole world waiting to be explored.

Our last breakfast was Landhuis Daniel, it's got to be our favourite. The setting is peaceful and the food is excellent, open all day.

Our flight was at 3.30 pm, I should say our revised flights, we found out yesterday that InselAir had cancelled both our flights to Bonaire. No one is answering the phones.
The Hato caves are just next to the airport, so we stopped, after filling up the rental car with gas, only $33 US for the week.

The caves we have seen before, they give a guided tour, lasts about 35 minutes very interesting. You can see the cut outs were the slaves hid, the small openings still black, from the fires they set.

There is short walk through some interesting trees, Rob played tour guide this time.

This little snail, can close up its shell and live for 2 years without water!

We dropped off our rental car and headed to the airport, Divi Divi Airlines. Check in was fast, security easy. Duty free, prices were better in town. We were early, only one person at our gate... a couple of people were standing behind a glass door, next to the desk.. then a young girl came and asked us if we were going to Aruba or Bonaire? We told her Bonaire, and she said ok, we are ready. We headed down a few stairs, no plane in sight, she put us on a bus, one minute later we pull up in front of a tiny plane! Wow, it was small. And looked pretty old. Definitely older than the pilot! Turns out there were 6 of us taking this flight, the plane held 9. Rob said,
well, this is an adventure!
And it was...

Hello Bonaire!
